S009887 POLIZEI M1934 7.65MM PISTOL HOLSTER. (Pistolentaschen)

BACKGROUND: Shortages in the standard issue P08 and the P38 pistols resulted in the German army contracting manufacturers to produce commercial and police model pistols for use by armed forces personnel. This resulted in a wide variety of assorted pistols being issued including the Mauser 7.65mm Model 34 pistol and holster. In 1907 the Mauser firm developed their first automatic blowback pistol which was modified in 1910 and again in 1914. In 1934 further developments brought about the M34 pistol which proved to be quite popular with police personnel. The M34 pistol was quite dated in appearance and in 1935 Mauser began development of a more streamlined modern pistol which appeared in 1940 as the HSc. After development of the HSc the M34 was discontinued.
