S001094 SIGNALS EQUIPMENT BELT LOOP STRAP & FRICTION CLIP. (Gerät Aufschiebeschlaufen) 

Stitched and riveted, blackened leather belt loop strap with large, black finished, spring loaded tear drop shaped, steel friction clip. The strap is roughly 22mm wide and 7cm long with a impressed stripe to the outside edges. The strap is well marked with impressed SS runes and the RZM logo with dual circular borders flanking impressed manufactures numerical contract code and date, "39/38". The numerical contract code signifies an unknown manufacturer with production in 1938. Used when the signals group were running the telephone cables on the ground.  The soldier put the cable in the hook in order to have their hands free to fire their weapon.
