N064078 "Gothaer (Gotha) Waggonfabrik" MESS HALL BOWL.
Roughly 23cm diamter mess hall bowl. Marked with "DAF Swastika & cog wheel" also "Hutschenreuther Hohenberg" (MODELL DES AMTES/SCHÖNHEIT DER ARBEIT). "Model of the Office/Beauty of Work". Top of the bowl is marked "GWF" for Gothaer (Gotha) Waggonfabrik who manufactured train cars for the Reichsbahn and was involved in making experimental jet aircraft for the Luftwaffe. More than 80% of the factory was destroyed in Allied bombing raids. Rare.
