BACKGROUND: On September 30TH 1938 Reichsjugendführer Baldur von Schirach introduced new revised sleeve rank insignia for both the Marine-HJ and the DJ. The insignia for both groups was identical but represented different ranks within each group.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: An upper right sleeve rank insignia for a Marine-HJ "Oberrottenführer," or a DJ "Oberhordenführer," comprised of a 56mm diameter, very dark navy blue wool disk, upon which is machine embroidered, in silver-grey threads, dual "V" chevrons.
