BACKGROUND:
The Werkschutz, (Factory defence), personnel were either hired security guards or internal security personnel employed by factories as a protection force. Most wore some type of uniform provided by the security company or the factory. Although the personnel would be considered civilians the NSDAP had dictated that the factories provide a certain degree of self defence.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Werkschutz personals sleeve badge. Very nice machine embroidered badge in silver/grey thread. 70mm x 85mm. Scarce badge.
