N039988 NSDAP POLITICAL VISOR CAP COCKADE. (NSDAP Kokarde)
BACKGROUND: Officially introduced in August of 1935, the cockade was worn on the front centerband of the Political Leaders visor cap. In 1939 a new regulation, added a gilt wreath around the cockade.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A three piece, political style national tri-color cockade. The cockade features a fluted a semi-translucent red enamel base, a silver washed, alloy roundel and a cut-out, canted swastika. Reverse is nicely RZM marked.
