A roughly shield-shaped, stamped alloy badge with a gold wash, 28mm wide and 48mm tall. Its obverse features, to its center, the Hitler Youth logo of a mobile swastika within a two-toned diamond, with "H" and "J" to either side of its top, and "D," "A," and "F" to either side and the point of its bottom. A hammer surmounts the diamond, with a spray of laurels to its left and a spray of oak leaves to its right. A scroll with "1935" to it is between the aforementioned and the diamond. Impressed into the surround is "Reichs-Berufs-Wettkampf der deutschen Jugend" (National-Trade-Competition of-the German Youth ). A horizontal pin-back device is to its hollow-back reverse. Of Note: This served as a combination badge for both the Hitler Youth and the sponsoring "Deutsches ArbeitsFront" (German Labor-front).
