N037387 NORWEGIAN FEMALE LABOR SERVICE CAP BADGE.

BACKGROUND: The Norwegian "Nasjonal Samling" (National Unity) party instituted a compulsory labor service, based on the German "Reichsarbeitsdienst" (National-labor-service), in September of 1940. It was designated "Arbeids-Tjensten" (Labor Service), and they wore uniforms similar to those previously worn by the Norwegian army, with rank indicated on the shoulder boards and collar tabs.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Roughly 22mm. Prongs have fallen off, but are included and will need to be re-attached. Otherwise very nice.
