N035686 1936 HESSEN-NASSAU PROVINCIAL DAY BADGE. (Gautag Abzeichen) 

A shield-shaped, solid aluminum construction badge. Its obverse features a large eagle with a wreathed, mobile swastika in its talons, to the right of which is "1936," and underneath showing a river fork whose left branch is labeled "Rhine" and whose right is labeled "Main." "Gautag Hessen Nassau Frankfurt Am Main" is scrolled around the image. A horizontal pin-back device is crimped to its reverse. Scarce.
