BACKGROUND:
The Reichsbanner Organization was organized in February of 1924 and typically supported the Republic and SPD (German Socialist Party). There motto was "Swartz-Rot-Gold" (Black, Red, Gold Banner of the Realm). In March of 1933 the organization was banned by the NSDAP.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Roughly 24mm visor cap insignia. Original prongs complete. Scarce as not many survived.
