N031272 HANS SCHEMM SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH POSTCARD WITH MEMORIAL.

BACKGROUND: Hans Schemm, Gauleiter of Bayerische Ostmark, was best known for his educational pursuits in the National Socialist Teachers League in 1927, but his also ran several different newspapers and magazines, some were education related, others NSDAP related. He is also responsible for opening the Bayrueth NS Cultural Publishing House. Due to his popularity among the German people, upon his untimely passing in March 1935, lead to the naming of various streets, building and events in his honour.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A 15cm x 32.5cm newspaper advertisement that is mounted to a heavy card stock backing. The advertisement pays tribute to Hans Schemm . Attached to the bottom is a black and white photograph postcard signed by Hans Schemm, circa 1934. The article has been folded to the bottom and shows typical yellowing due to age, while the postcard is pristine!
