N025688 1936 "GAU BAYRISCHEN-OSTMARK" MEETING BADGE. (Gautreffen Abzeichen) 

A shield-shaped badge, 47mm tall, in what appears to be porcelain, to whose obverse is the profiled image of an eagle in flight, with a wreathed, mobile swastika in its talons. The border around this image, in gold, has embossed to it, "Gautreffen Der Bayrischen Ostmark 1936" (Provincial-meeting [of] The Bavarians [in] Austria 1936). A horizontal pin-back device is crimped to a plate to its reverse, beneath which is embossed the manufacturer’s name, with an encircled lion above "L.H.S." beneath that, and "Bavaria" to the base.
