A 12.5cm x 19cm, hardcover, 318 page book entitled "Pimpf im Dienst" (analogous to Wolf-cub in Service) and sub-titled "Ein Handbuch für das Deutsche Jungvolk in der HJ" (A Handbook for German Youth in the HJ). The off-white, woven fabric cover has the impression of a profiled DJ boy in uniform playing a drum. The book begins with chapters on physical exercise, then concerns itself with orienteering, signaling, air-rifle shooting, camping, first aid, and more. Most of the sections are illustrated with line drawings. Written entirely in German. Published by the "Reichsjugendführung" in 1938. A handwritten notation is to the first page. A small paper label is also visible to the interior front cover.
