BACKGROUND: The DRL, "Deutschen Reichsbundes für Leibesübungen" (German State-league for Physical-training), incorporated the NSRL,"National Sozialistische Reichsbund für Leibesübungen" (National Socialist State-league for Physical-training), into it in 1938. The original NSRL emblem, being a national eagle with down-swept wings and a mobile swastika superimposed on its breast, was a carried over to the DRL.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A 320cm x 95cm flag, whose red field is broken in the center by an 40cm wide white column, which widens into a 75cm diameter circle to its center, against which is a embroidered & printed black NSRL eagle with a white swastika superimposed upon its breast. Tunnel loop is sewn to its hoist edge. Well worn and used example showing the expected stains and tears. Rare to see with the embroidered eagle!
