N010390 1938 S.A. GROUP NIEDERRHEIN SPORTS COMPETITION BADGE. (Sport-Wettkämpfe Abzeichen)
A pierced, stamped alloy badge which takes the form of a vertical oval oak leaf wreath, 35mm wide and 50mm tall. Within the wreath is a uniformed S.A. man holding a shield. The stylized "SA" logo is to the base of the shield, above which is "Wettkampftage" (Competition-day), with "SA Gruppe," "Niederrhein," "10.-12. Juni 1938," and "Duisburg" to the base. A vertical pin-back device is soldered to the center of its unmarked, hollow-back reverse.
