N010058 DRL MEMBER'S IDENTIFICATION/CONTRIBUTION BOOK. (Büchlein) 

An identity document for the "Deutscher Reichsbund für Leibesübungen" (German National-organization for Physical-education). It is a 4 1/4" x 5 7/8" blue linen covered booklet whose cover features a black printed eagle with a mobile swastika to its breast, and the title of the organization, in Fraktur, beneath. The interior of the front cover has a quotation from one of the DRL’s statutes. The first page features a glued photograph of the recipient with a "Schwimmklub" stamp, his personal information, and a August 1937 date. The following ten pages have no entries, the next featuring dues stamps for April-September 1937, Okt.-Marz 1937-1938, April-September 1938, and Okt.-Marz 1938-1939. The inside of the back cover lists the privileges the bearer of the card is entitled to. The back of the blue linen cover provides a space for the name of the holder, which is signed. To the center of the book is attached a 4 1/4" x 5 7/8", half-fold, grey oil cloth card with the title "Deutscher Fußballl - Bund" (German Fußballl - League) which has the same personal information to the interior first page. Included with the book is a photograph postcard of the recipient’s soccer team. The booklets and post card are in good condition with some minor age fading and soiling to the cover and minor yellowing to the pages.
