Volumes one and two in a series titled "The Third Reich" with original cardboard slip covers written by Gerd Rühle. The hard cover books measure approximately 17cm x 25cm with gilt lettered spines. The first volume that is subtitled "Die Kampfjahre 1918-1933" or "The fighting years 1918-1933" consists of 428 pages. The second volume is subtitled "Das Zweite Jahr 1934" or "The Second Year 1934" consists of 498 pages. The books show yellowing with spotting, but otherwise are in good condition, with the slip covers being strong. There is handwriting in pencil to the outside of the each slip cover with the owners name.
