A 60mm diameter trade badge, upon whose black wool base is machine embroidered, in golden-yellow thread, a wheel with the letter "R" embroidered over it. This badge would have been worn by either shunting supervisor (Rangieraufseher), shunting foreman (Rangiermeister) or a senior shunting foreman (Oberrangiermeister).
