BACKGROUND: Various sports related organizations all few under the control of the Deutscher Turnerbund (German Athletics Association). All wore the Turnverein buckle with the "FFFF" insignia for "Frish, Frof, Fromm, Frie" which translates into "Fresh, Happy, Pious and Free".
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: The 36cm x 9.5cm pole top is made from bronze plated alloy. The "FFFF" insignia has been removed. Shows the expected period use and wear but overall nice condition.
