C082881 184TH OVERSEAS BATTALION COLLAR DOG.
BACKGROUND: The Battalion was started in Southern Manitoba with mobilization headquarters in Winnipeg on July 5th 1916. The Battalion sailed on November 1, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel W.H. Sharpe with thirty two officers and one thousand and forty two other ranks. It was disbanded on September 15,, 1920.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: This stamped brass collar dog is 5.5cm x 2cm with "184" central to the design with "Overseas Canada Battalion". The reverse is a mirror of the front with lugs.
