C076581 WW1 CANADIAN "12TH YORK RANGERS" CAP BADGE.

The 12th was based in Toronto, Ontario to which they began recruiting in1915 in York County. The stamped, blackened brass cap badge measures approximately 5cm x 3.5cm featuring an open circle with "XII" to the center and "York Rangers" and "Celer Et Audax" (Swift and Bold) to the surface of the ring. A Kings Crown is atop the circle. The reverse is a mirror image of the front with a pair of lugs. Ellis marked and dated for 1914.
