C069183 "ROYAL CANADIAN ORDNANCE CORPS" "Canvas" SHOULDER FLASH.
BACKGROUND: Organized in 1903 as "The Ordnance Stores Corps" they were re-designated in 1907 as "The Canadian Ordnance Corps" and received royal approval in 1919 by King George V to use "Royal" as a prefix for their outstanding service during WWI. During WWI 2000 Officers and men served with the Canadian Corps in France and Belgium, where they had three Ordnance Mobile Workshops, five depots in England, had representation in four divisions and a cavalry brigade along with sending forces to Russia, Siberia and the West Indies. During WWII, they were represented in every theater that Canadian troops fought and landed personnel on the Normandy Beaches with assault forces.
