C062568 U.S.18TH AIRBORNE CORPS SHOULDER FLASH.

BACKGROUND: The 18th Airborne Corps was activated in January of 1942 at Camp Polk, Louisiana. The endurance, cunning and ferocity of the dragon against its enemies was representative of both the strategic and attack capabilities of the corps. The corp. was involved in the Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace and Central European campaigns during WW II.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Machine embroidered patch consists of a blue border the head of a dragon in blue on a white background. An arching tab with "Airborne," in white on a blue background is above. Nice clean example. Removed from a uniform.
