C056284 WWI BRITISH RUM JUG.
A clay rum jug with a rattan/straw cover that has a painted with a vertical red stripe. The straw is in very good condition but the handle is a bit weaker as one of the strands has broken. The jug measures approximately 37cm tall with a 21cm diameter bottom. Cork is in place. Of Note: It is believed that jugs with the wicker covers were designated to the Navy.
