C051185 U.S. M1885 CARBINE BOOT.

Black leather boot is in very good condition , with a smooth polished surface. Boot is full form (not crushed flat as many are). Suspension billet, and both attachment billets are full length, unbroken, and unaltered with no repairs. Arsenal stamp on rear of boot is very crisp. Billets are reasonably flexible and not stiff or dry. Overall, this is about as good as they get. These carbine boots were used for various versions of the M1874 trapdoor carbine, in conjunction with the M1885 Carbine sling.
