C050283 WWII "ROYAL RIFLES OF CANADA " CAP BADGE.

BACKGROUND: In 1862 the 8th Battalion Volunteer Militia Rifles of Canada formed at Quebec City, Quebec. By 1920 they were reformed alongside "The Voltigeurs de Quebec." In 1941 they sailed from Vancouver aboard the Awatea to fight at the Battle of Hong Kong which took place during the pacific campaign of World War II.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A 4.5cm x 5.5cm cap badge with a pair of lugs to the reverse.
