C048888 "Donald Fred Grosshans" PERSONAL GROUPING.
An extensive grouping belonging to Donald Grosshans of Deshler Nebraska that includes multiple documents that beginning with his Graduation Diploma(1941). The documents then follow his extensive military career beginning in 1943 when he is directed to report for a physical, two appeal notices "Notice of Classification" for May 18 and August 10, 1944. There is a ticket receipt and notice for travel from Camp Wolters Texas., a certificate of Infantry training and certificate of completion, notices of being wounded in 1945 along with a telegram that advises of his Purple Heart, as well, as a small newspaper clipping. There are honourable discharge papers dated July 1, 1946 as a Technician 5thh Grade, Company F., 291st Infantry Regiment. There are various ,very nice black and white images of himself and other topics. Lastly, there are a pair of Private chevrons, two pair of U.S. Technician 5th Grade chevrons, a five bar overseas bar (2.5 years), a 75th Infantry shoulder flash, a "U.S.", Infantry and Ordnance collar dogs, a single U.S. American Campaign 1941 ribbon bar and a three place ribbon bar that includes the U.S. European, Africa, Middle East Campaign medal with two stars that represent two battle campaigns, a Good Conduct medal and a Purple Hear. A very extensive grouping that is too large to list it all.
