C047483 FIRST CANADIAN ARMY "Canvas" SHOULDER FLASH.

BACKGROUND: Every infantry or armored Division had its own insignia. The First Canadian Army was formed in early 1942 and was the senior Canadian operational formation in Europe during the Second World War. It consisted of some 170,000 men who were organized into 2 corps (5 divisions and 2 armoured brigades).

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A diamond shaped canvas formation patch, about 8cm x 5.5cm. The colours stand for the 1st and 2nd corps which were the Army’s components. Un-issued.
