C045891 BRITISH LANCHESTER MK. 1* 9MM SUBMACHINE GUN (Inert/Deactivated).

A Sterling Armaments, simplified version of the original Mk. I with no fire selector and simplified sights that was mainly used by the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force for airfield protection. The submachine gun is clearly marked "Lanchester Mk I *, SA M619, 34718". Note: Manufactured by the Sterling Armaments Co. as indicated by the 'M619' marking on the magazine well. The date of manufacture is 1943 as indicated by the '43' marking on top of the rear flange of the magazine well housing. The disassembly switch at the rear of the receiver functions and allows the receiver assembly to pivot up out of the stock. The 32-round box magazine is welded to the inside of the magazine well, the bolt is welded in in the closed position, and the trigger does not function.
