C042792 CASED CANADIAN VOLUNTEER SERVICE MEDAL.
Awarded for eighteen months voluntary war-time service 1939 to 1945. The 37mm diameter silver medal has, to its front, seven marching figures, each representing a man or woman in a branch of service, with "1939 Canada 1945 Voluntary Service Volontaire" scrolled around them. To the reverse is the coat-of-arms of Canada. It is suspended from a 32mm wide green-red-dark blue-red-green ribbon. A silver overseas bar itself has a Maple leaf to its center, indicating at least sixty days service outside of Canada. Also included is the original cardboard issue box with "C.V.S.M." stamped to the top.
