C040262 1924-53 "R.C.A.P.C." CAP BADGE.

BACKGROUND: The Royal Canadian Army Pay Corps was an administrative branch of the Canadian Army established in 1907. In 1967 the corps was amalgamated into the Logistics Branch.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A gilt metal alloy badge approximately 4.5cm x 4.5cm shows a belt looped and buckled with the motto "Hon Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" (Shame on him who thinks ill of it) embossed on it’s surface. Atop is the Kings Crown while the beaver is to the center. "R.C.A.P.C." is embossed on a scroll to the bottom with maple leafs surrounding the scroll. The reverse shows a mirror copy of the front with two lugs attached. The badge shows some darkening due to age, but this only enhances the details.
