C038087 CANADIAN WWII UNIFORM GROUPING.

A grouping that was all to be found within this duffle bag that includes a battledress tunic, trousers, shirt, Balmoral hat, insignia and of course, duffle bag. The battledress tunic has a five metal dish button front that leads to a lay down collar with no buttons or hooks at the neck opening. There are a pair of "Canada" flashes sewn below each shoulder seam, a Volunteer Service Ribbon bar above the left breast pocket and a General Service badge sewn above the right facing cuff. The interior is clearly "C" broad arrow marked, along with "Size 7, Height 5'7" to 5'8", Breast 35-36, as well as "S&G Clothing Co. Ltd. 1944". The battledress trousers have a five button French fly that are also "C" broad arrow marked, Size 7, 5'7" to 8", W 30-31, B 36-37 and Workman Uniform Co. Ltd. Montreal 1945. The long sleeve wool shirt has five of the original six buttons to the front, lay down collar, button cuffs with two pleated button flap pockets. The chest measures approximately 44" with a 58cm or 23"long sleeve. The balmoral hat has a red "tori" and diced band. It is unmarked. The insignia includes an extra Volunteer Service Medal ribbon bar, a Pacific Force shoulder flash and a pair of dog tags that read "G. 1641, Pte. W.E. Cooke". Of course, the last item is a 60cm long duffle bag with brass grommets and hemp rope that has a 22cm bottom. The interior is marked "J.J. Turner & Sons Ltd. 1943.
