C036887 WWII RCAF TWO TOURS OF DUTY OPERATIONS BADGE.

BACKGROUND: During WWII the RCAF had three main responsibilities: British Commonwealth Air Training Plan where Canada made a massive contribution to training Military aviators, Home War Establishment for coastal defense, shipping and air defense in Canada, and Overseas War Establishment.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A brass badge in the form of spread wings with a "O" at it’s center. It measures approximately 4cm x 1cm with one hanging bar. The screw posts and caps are in tact. On the reverse is engraved "Birks and Sterling." It shows some darkening due to age, but is in very nice condition.
