C035683 BRITISH WWII SHERWOOD "FORESTERS" BRASS SHOULDER TITLES.

BACKGROUND: The Sherwood Foresters (Derbyshire Regiment) were formed on the 1st of July, 1881, when the Militia and Volunteer infantry were united with two regular battalions, the 1st Battalion, re-designated 45th (Nottinghamshire) Regiment of Foot and the 2nd Battalion, re-designated 95th (Derbyshire) Regiment of Foot. In 1902 they were re-designated The Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment).

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A pair of arched, brass shoulder titles measuring approximately 5cm long with a pair of hex lugs to the flat reverse.
