The mask is comprised of a khaki green oiled cloth with a large "4 WIDE" ink stamped to the front that indicates the size. A khaki covered rubberized hose extends from the face mask to a green painted filter that measures 14cm long x 12cm wide x 6cm deep. The canister has cracking and rusting to the middle to the bottom half. To provide double protection, it has built in clips to hold the nose shut while breathing through a tube. The bag with webbed carrying strap and lift the dot fasteners to the corners bears a stamp under the flap. The interior is divided into two sections. The section to hold the cannister has a spring built into the bottom. Included is a card and envelope that is marked "This Envelope Contains Instructions, Record Card, Tape for Repairs, Safety Pin, Adjusting Harness." The tape and safety pin are still present in the card, but there is no information recorded. The mask has become dry and cannot be opened.
