C034991 U.S. M1918 GRENADE VEST.
An M1918 grenade vest featuring two rows of identical patch pockets, six along the top and five to the bottom, each with scalloped fold-over flaps with snap-button closures, all mounted on a 45cm x 27cm base. Each of the pockets would have originally held one Mills bomb. Tie tapes extend from each corner of the base and an over-the-shoulder strap with a blackened brass sliding adjustment buckle extends from each side of the top. On the reverse in black ink manufacturer’s mark.
