C032387 BRITISH/CANADIAN INSTRUCTOR CADRE TRADE BADGE.
BACKGROUND: A wide variety of badges, both official and unofficial, were worn by Commonwealth soldiers throughout the war. Where they were worn on the uniform signified what they were for. Tradesman badges were worn on the right forearm, skill at arms badges on the left forearm and instructors on the arm towards the center or above the stripes for a sergeant but below the rank for a warrant officer.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Badge takes the form of Kings crown over top the letters "IC" surrounded by a wreath of stars. Machine embroidered on a khaki wool backing. Size 7cm x 8cm. Green cloth backing.
