C031794 WWII BRITISH/CANADIAN CASED IMPERIAL SERVICE ORDER MEDAL.

Established by King Edward VII in 1902, the medal was awarded on the retirement of those holding a civil service roll throughout the British Empire for 25 years. The reigning monarch’s effigy (King George VI) is shown to the front while the reverse shows a seated figure of a man with the inscription "For Faithful Service." The medals is suspended from a red silk ribbon with a central blue stripe. It is named ""Joseph Hector Henri Massie” to the rim. The medal measures approximately 3.5cm in diameter. Shows the expected light age toning, but overall excellent condition. The medal comes housed in its original hard case measuring approximately 2cm x 6cm x 13cm along with its original, two piece cardboard constructed mailing carton with friction top lid. An extra section of ribbon in waxed envelope is included.
