A very nice private purchase visor cap of black wool, one-piece crown, four-piece body with seams at each of its cardinal points, a black mohair center band, and an embroidery covered, stiff leather visor with one row of gold wire oak leaves attached to it and trimmed in leather. The cap has an adjustable black patent leather chin strap with dual adjustment sliders that is attached over each ear by black cloth buttons. The hand embroider Officer’s cap badge of gilt wire and red velvet is to the center band.  The interior retains it original, pristine, brown leather sweatband, and is fully lined in red/burgundy silk/rayon that has a faint stamping to the center. A very nice clean visor.
