C030378 M1874 DRAGOON HEADSTALL.
A headstall that is comprised of the crown piece, brow band, throatlatch, cheek pieces with brass rosettes that features the US coat of arms, curb bit constructed of brass plated iron with chain, two sets of rein rings and reins. The single prong buckles are from the early Indian War period. The each rein measures approximately 22mm wide x 140cm (55") long that are held in place by a single prong buckle. The nose band measures approximately 4cm wide. The rosettes measure approximately 46mm in diameter. The leather is in very good condition. Unable to find any markings.
