C029775 WWI FRENCH M1877 CANTEEN.
A tin plated steel, blue painted, one litre, canteen with two openings. One stopper is for a wooden peg, while a cork is to the other; both are missing. A brown leather strap completes the canteen that is looped through two small rings to either side of the body. The canteen measures approximately 14cm x 20cm x 5.5cm. The surface shows most of the original paint missing, but this remains a good, usable example.
