C028892 KOREAN WAR HEAVY MAINTENANCE COMPANY 30TH ORDNANCE BATTALION SHOULDER PATCH.
HM was the abbreviation for Heavy Maintenance (Company) of the 30th Ordnance Battalion. This unit served throughout the Korean War and was in fact the first unit sent to Korea after the North Korean invasion started the Korean War. According to General Order 18, the unit was awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation three times in Korea. This patch dates to approximately 1952. Well worn and uniform removed. Nice and rare patch. Measures approximately 7.5cm x 9cm.
