C028293 U.S. M1910 ENTRENCHING TOOL.
The olive drab painted spade, which measures approximately 56cm in overall height, is comprised of a slightly pointed metal head with riveted metal tangs extending from its horizontal base, following the contours of its vertical wooden handle front and back. "US" may be seen impressed to the inside tang. A similarly riveted metal tang to the base of the vertical handle fixes a short, horizontal wooden handle to it. The left facing section is bent and held in place. May be able to be fixed.
