A bronze, 38mm diameter medal with original ribbon. To the front is the front facing image of a Savoia-Marchetti S.55 surrounded by the words "GLI Italiani in Ricordo Ella Sua Venuta A Philadelphia/Maggio 1927", while the reverse shows the left facing profile of Francesco De Pinedo, surrounded by the inscription "AL COMANDANTE MARCHESE FRANCESCO DE PINEDO / EROE DEI CIELI". Included is an extensive historical profile on the International flight including various images, copies of newspapers, posterettes, etc.
