C026288 U.S. WWI LIEUTENANT COMMANDER’S NAVAL AVIATOR TUNIC.
A navy blue wool tunic with seven buttons to the front that leads to a pair of hooks at the stand up collar. The top most button shows chipping. The collar, as well as the star with gold tapes on the cuffs, represents the rank of Lieutenant Commander, while a pair of bullion embroidered pair of wings is to the left wearing breast. The interior is fully lined with a breast pocket to each panel, as well as lined sleeves. The breast measures approximately 37". Shows the expected age and use.
