C025375 CIVIL WAR/INDIAN WAR COPPER COFFEE POT. A solid sheet, copper pot measures approximately 18cm high with a bottom 19.5cm diameter. The pot has a lift off, friction top lid that measures approximately 13.5cm in diameter. The side of the pot, close to the top rolled edge is the embossment for "Stailey Bro’s Liverpool, PA". There is a dent to the same side and just below the embossment. The copper shows a light patina with the bottom and up the sides of the rim are blackened due to use, which is what you like to see in an item such as this. Of Note: Copper is far less likely to burn through on the bottom over a camp fire, as often happened to the thin tin pots.
