C025188 SOVIET PARATROOPER POSTCARD.

A rare postcard from the late 1930’s printed in the Soviet Union in Russian language depicting Russian paratroopers, a "secret weapon" which Stalin and the Soviet high command sought to prevent much knowledge of outside of the Soviet Union. Even today, very little is known about the Soviet paratroopers of WWII. This card was posted and sent to Germany and survived the war. One can imagine the person who authorized this patriotic card disclosing state secrets being sent to Siberia for his revealing of classified military secrets! The postcard measures approximately 15cm x 10.5cm. Postcard is dated for 1942.
