Superb Civil War “McDowell pattern” pattern kepi to the "51st Pennsylvania Infantry" with the distinctive narrow crescent visor and taller body. All original Corps, Regimental and Company insignia. Half of the original chinstrap remains and both of the original chinstrap buttons. Nice original liner and partial makers marking. Cap shows mothing which is expected, but most are hidden in the folds on the front of the cap when the cap is in its natural display shape/form. Untouched McDowell patterns are very hard to find these days, let alone with untouched Corps insignia. Ex J Frasca collection. Rare!
