C020795 AUSTRALIAN COMMONWEALTH MILITARY FORCES UNIFORM GROUPING.

This grouping includes a slouch cap, tunic, trousers, combat boots with wool puttees.

1.The Khaki wool/felt hat has a wide brim with an original button snap to one side, double ventilation holes to both sides, original cap badge and leather sweatband and chin strap. The sweatband is embossed “Denham & Hargrave Ltd with a 1943 date, size of 7 1/8, and broad arrow. There is a name partially written to the exterior of the cap by the cap badge. 
2. The khaki wool tunic has a four button front with an additional, small button to the neckline, a pair of pleated breast pockets with button flaps, large patch pockets with button flaps to the hips, pleated and button cuffs, integral button shoulder straps to the neck with “Australia” brass shoulder tiles, “Australian Commonwealth Military Force” collar dogs, and a pair of belt hooks. The interior is unlined with a pair of labels that includes a handwritten name, manfuacture name date of 1940 and “Size 16.” All buttons are “Australian Military Corps” buttons. 
3. A pair of matching, un-issued, un-worn khaki wool trousers with a three button French fly with an additional button at the waist. They have six buttons that extend the outside of the waistband for the attachment of suspenders or Y-straps. Vertical slash pockets are to the hips. A paper tag is sewn to the exterior of the waistband. The waist measures approximately 37" with a 32" breech. Nice pressed seam.
4. A pair of un-issued, un-used Australian combat boots comprised of five piece brown leather uppers with a smooth leather sole and stacked leather heels. Each boot has seven large cleats and the heal steel bottom. Each boot has six pairs of steel grommets which form eyelets through which flat laces of hollow brown cotton are threaded. Very nicely dated for 1945. Pristine.
5. A pair of wool puttees rolled together and stored in one of the boots.
