C018593 U.S. WWII M7 SHOULDER HOLSTER.

BACKGROUND: This holster became standardized in 1942 for pilots and tank crews. The M7 was issued late war to replace the M3. The M7 could be worn in various positions other than over the shoulder to hang between the arm pit and waist along the rib cage.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tan colored leather holster with the body measuring approximately 24cm long and 15cm to the top (widest point). Two leather straps are present to both the top and bottom of the holster. A 3cm wide leather strap is permanently affixed to the top while the spring clip attaches to a "D" ring that is permanently attached via the lower strap on the reverse panel. The front is embossed "US". The reverse panel is also marked "U.S." and "Enger-Kress."
